Tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities

The collection of pop tabs at Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest raises approximately $22,000 every year so they really add up! And it’s not just pop tabs. You can collect the tabs off any aluminum can. You can collect all kinds of tabs including pop tabs, beer tabs, cat food tabs, soup can tabs, etc. We just have to be sure it’s only the tab. The rest of the can is a different metal and they get fined for any contents that are not tabs.
If you’re looking for opportunities beyond tab collection, they also have a Cooks For Kids program and other ways to give back. Cooks For Kids is a meal service program where volunteers plan, prepare and serve a meal to our families. CFK is an amazing team building activity. Plus, their families always say it is RMHC’s most appreciated service.
When you are done collecting, it is best to drop the tabs off at the Ronald McDonald House near the University of Minnesota. There is a large dumpster used only for the collection of pop tabs at the end of the driveway off Fulton Street (818 Fulton Street SE). You can do that at any time. You can also drop them off at our office in Shakopee. 121 Lewis St., Shakopee, MN
