  1. General Business and Reports
  • Management:
    • Fest Update
      • We will need to do criminal background checks for everybody who will be working there this year (and from now on).
        • We don’t know what the limit they are going to have on the crimes.
      • Camping is going to be 15 spots, including the committee.
      • Masks are optional, but Treehouse is mandatory.
      • Temporary passes will be turned in to Emma at end-of-day on every Sunday.
      • 1st, 4th, and 5th weekends are all JCI Conventions, which means scheduling is going to be hell.
    • Taste Update
      • Somewhere between 20-30 vendors have registered.
      • Restaurants in the area are being communicated with.
      • Flyers will be made.
        • Pizza Man, on Marshall, could conceivably put our flyers on their pizza boxes since our landlord and their landlord is the same.
      • This weekend the grid of where people will go will be created.
      • A sign-in sheet to volunteer has been posted.
    • Trail Update
      • There will be a post going up this weekend.  A Chairperson needs to be found.
    • Twin Cities Summer Jam
      • Sign-up has been going well.  A lot of people are interested in driving.
      • They will need more help on that Saturday.
      • Thursday and Friday slots have been filled.
    • Scott County Fair
      • Everything is going smoothly?
      • Contacts need to be set up.
      • Shirt budget has been sent to the President.
        • Cost: $15/shirt.
        • They are asking for $500 to cover all of the shirts and some to give away.
        • They want black, but most of the BOD is saying don’t do black in the summer.  Maybe do tank-tops instead, or do gray, or both.
    • Bylaws and Policies are Complete and Ready for the Website
      • They are complete, and ready for the website.
  • Membership:
    • Zoom Zoom Happy Time Social and Pasta Feast
      • It is this Sunday.  It starts at 2pm… $15 per member.  We have 13-14 people coming.  Food at Buca – in Burnsville – is afterward ($15 is for driving and for food).
  • Community:
    • Bloomington Living Hope Lutheran School AED Donation
      • We have made donations to them for their essay contests before.
      • We have donated to giving them a scoreboard for their basketball court.
      • We donated to get them an AED for one of their facilities in the past.
      • $1,800 donation request for their Shakopee school.  They want an AED.  They will be coming to the GM meeting on Thursday.
      • We want something out of this… the previous AED has a plaque next to it stating that we donated it.
    • Pitch, Hit, and Run
      • Saturday, June 26th at 2pm.
      • M. Arnold will be running the project since nobody else stepped up.
      • He needs at least 4 volunteers.
  • Individual Development:
    • July Lab Night – Improv/Public Speaking with Cameron
      • They are in communication with Cameron.  Nothing is set in stone yet though.
  • Public Relations:
    • Messaging System
      • We need more options to get messages out to our members.

9: Presidential Comments

– All of us are loved and do a lot of work for the chapter.  There is life out of JCI, so we need to take a break from JCI stuff sometimes; “you (personal/mental health) time” is very important.

10: Adjournment @ 8:16pm – 1st by J. Cole-Harris; 2nd by Arnold; Motion carries.

11: Creed

We believe:

That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;

That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality; and

That service to humanity is the best work of life.
