JCI Shakopee BOD Meeting

Call to Order:7:02pm

  • Management:
    • Budget Scrub
      • Management
        • Wants to leave the budget as it is.
        • MD-?
        • MD-9 – move money from there
        • MD-23
          • We will be short approximately $450 for the rest of the year.  We should probably move $500 to this line.
      • Community
        • There’s not a whole lot that can be moved.
        • CD-14
          • Move $500 back into here and donate it to the cause Jesters BBQ was going to do.  Move $500 from CD-3 to CD-14.
        • Figure out how to give the CAP Agency more money ($1,000?).  We could pull from CD-2 or CD-3.  Create a line item for CAP Agency.
      • Individual Development
        • ID-3
          • Take out $500 from here.
        • ID-7
          • We could pull all of the money from here.
      • Membership
        • Propose a line-item to do a one-time delinquent dues uncollected for dues (MB-25 for $1,090.50).  We lost a lot of people from COVID.
          • Pull money from CD-3 and CD-7 combined.
        • Since Andrea didn’t mention anything about 2020 dues, they should be written off for the people who still owe them.
      • Public Relations
        • PR-16
          • Do something with this.
      • State Delegate
        • Transfer $1,000 from SD-15 to SD-17
    • Fest Numbers
      • Down about 1,000 cups from last year.
      • We are down 32% on domestics and up 10% on imports.
      • We are trending lower than we should be.
    • Trail of Terror Chair Needed or We Pull Out
      • We don’t have a chair yet.  Are we going to pull out?
  • Membership:
    • We Won a Shiny New Canopy!
      • Yay!
    • 81 Active Members for the Year. Up 9 overall. 25 New members this year, 22 this quarter, 19 in August
      • Might have 1 more joining for this weekend.
    • Social Update
      • Orchard on October 16th.
  • Community:
    • Holiday Fest Parade – Dec 4th
      • We can register for this.
      • Downtown Shakopee is doing an un-parade where we can do a float.
    • Fall Adopt a Highway – October 24th
      • We need to do this before the end of October.  We might change the date.
    • Jester’s BBQ CD-14
      • Not happening this year.  Money can be moved from this… see budget above.
  • Individual Development:
    • October Lab Night. Credit Scores. Plan?
      • There is no plan for this yet.
      • Maybe reach out to Kyle Roggenbuck
  • Public Relations:

  • State Delegate
    • JCI MN FAS This Weekend
      • It’s in New Ulm right now.
    • JCI USA Celebration of a Century Next Weekend
      • This is next weekend.  Lizzy, Carolyn, and Stephanie will be going to it.

She’s really proud of all of us.  She appreciates every one of us.  Keep being awesome.
