Assistance Requests:

  1. General Business and Reports
  • Management:
    • Invoicing via Quickbooks
      • We are looking into doing this, but we don’t have it as part of our budget.
      • We want to add $300 to the budget and change the PayPal line to Quickbook instead.
      • Motion made by M. Arnold to move $300 from MD-14 to MD-6 (to be renamed “Online Banking and Accounting Fees”); 2nd by Weidenhamer.  Motion carried.
    • Scott County Fair Recap
      • We made $4,700 & our goal was $1,500!  We normally get between $1,000-$1,900.
      • They loved us and want us back next year.
    • Taste of Shakopee Recap
      • We had a really good turnout.
      • We sold over $15,000 in two days.
      • We didn’t spend a lot of money out of the budget.
      • We are owed money from food and beverage tickets.  We are coming in at around $9,400 in owed income… in previous years we made about ⅓ of that.
    • Fest Update!!!
      • Taste of Shakopee and Scott County Fair were bigger than normal, so Fest will be as well.
      • 1,500 kegs in run goal.
      • Everybody should be receiving an email from The Compliance Training Book for all of the harassment training; they need to be completed by the Monday after the 3rd weekend.  It sounds like it is like the TIPS training, but for harassment training.
      • No drinking while you’re working.  If you’re caught drinking your pass will be pulled & you won’t be able to work until the end of the next Fest run.
      • We are communicating everything we find out, as fast as we can, but we don’t know much.
      • We do have the soda booth next to Sots.  If you see that they’re struggling, please help.
      • Mask Policy — be mindful of Jesters, it’s recommended that we wear one, but it’s up to the individual.
      • Parking is in the Pit near the campground.
      • Soda Booth — we have the same contract as any other soda booth on site, so any maintenance issues will fall on Site Crew and not on us.
      • Hard Pass — there is the Google form, but we don’t know exactly how to fill it out (ex. who is considered Management?)
    • Fundraising
      • They want manpower (6 people) to (August 26th) pick up the racks from storage, drag them into a Uhaul, drive the Uhaul to the event & manpower to (August 30th) pick up the racks from the event, load them into the Uhaul, drive the racks to storage, and unload the racks.

11: Creed

We believe:

That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;

That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality; and

That service to humanity is the best work of life.
