  1. Call to Order @ 7:32pm.
  2. Special Guests:
    • Matt Reko of JCI Rochester
      • He is their Chapter President and his partner is the Chapter VP.  They are looking for help for an event they are putting on (beanbag event and membership drive) at LPS Brewery in Rochester on Saturday August 29th from 2pm-6pm.  There will be beer, craft soda, beanbags, and other games.  They want to do a raffle/drawing to help the local food bank and funds for the Rochester chapter.  Their goal is to recruit at least 5 people from this event, especially since they have 6 members currently.  They are looking for manpower (set-up and tear-down) and recruiters from us.  Reminder that we can get Chapter Roadrun points if we come with at least 3 people.
      • They are working with a local company that does promotional shirts.  They put together black facemasks ($10) and baby-blue JCI Rochester shirts ($20).  Out of the $30 total sales the chapter makes about $10.  The company is willing to remove the Rochester name from the shirts for the people that don’t want them on there.  Shipping is $8.
    • Matt Reko JCI USA USA Skills and Development Committee
      • He is chairing this committee.  He is looking for ideas from us.  He wants to completely change the basic training ideas.  They want trainings that aren’t entirely JCI related.
      • They are currently doing a series of 5 minute trainings on why you need to register on 2 different websites, what is common knowledge (Robert’s Rules, YouTube trainings), etc.
      • Send ideas to the email:  He will also do a Google Form for ideas too.
    • Bobbie Loch – ALS Walk
      • She is taking part of the ALS Walk (aka. Lou Gherig’s Disease) on August 27th in St. Cloud.  Her family members have it & the youngest person to die from it was 27 years old.

We believe:

That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;

That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality; and

That service to humanity is the best work of life.
