  • Amy Blackburn – Hardship Donation Request
    • Requesting donation to help with her friend who passed away. Her 2 year old son’s dad passed away in early October. Looking for $1900-$2000 for past due rent and Jan rent ($545/month, plus late fees), anything would help. Can be sent directly to office manager. Her friend was supporting them, she was home with him because daycare is expensive. No family close by to help. She’s looking for a job. Having rent paid would make things a little less stressful. Jan 5 has an appt w/social security for survivor benefits. Currently receives EBT and some cash assistance (not much). Question was asked to Amy: Able to get itemized invoice? Yes, she says she could get that.
  • Brett Sween – Chanhassen youth Baseball
    • Opportunity to go to Cooperstown NY to celebrate baseball, sportsmanship, youth leadership. Only available to 12 year old baseball teams. Teams spend a full week with 103 other teams from around the world. Represent their community. Significant undertaking, looking goal is to cover the full cost so that the entire team is able to travel and be a part of this experience. Raised nearly 10,000 already. Fundraising is challenging right now. Looking for support from orgs who have supported them in the past, asking for support to Funds go directly towards registration, lodging, meals, special uniforms.
    • Sponsorship levels “Cooperstown Dreammaker” Sponsor Level $2500, Gold Level $1500-$2499, Blue Level $500-$1499, White Level $250-$499
    • Tournament in June 2021, sponsorship campaign through end of January, registration due March 1.
    • Question asked: What happens in the event it gets cancelled? If possible it will be delayed or pushed to the fall. Worst Case: Roll it forward and find the opportunity to play on a national stage in 2022. That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality; and

That service to humanity is the best work of life.
