      • We’re still looking for another chair.   M. Black will still be a mentor to interested people.
    • Parade Points
      • We’re on track for parade points.  The next thing to do is a Plan of Action.
    • Big Taste of Fun moved to August 14th
      • It was moved back 2 months due to COVID.  It was a committee decision… not a chapter decision.
    • Everything is Awesome
      • Things are going well.
  • Membership:
    • Q1 Membership
      • Renewals have been processed.  If you renewed, and are wondering where to send the check, send it to our PO box.
  • Community:
    • Shakopee Diversity Alliance Collaboration
      • They are putting together a collaboration.  We were going to ask for a vote on $300, but we’re not at quorum so that will have to happen next month.
    • Community Center Fitness Bingo Event
      • Going on until the end of the month.  It’s on the Shakopee Community center page.
    • Easter Egg Hunt, March 27th 3-7pm
      • We will put on a manpower event soon… looking for 10-20 people.  It will be similar to the event in October.
  • Individual Development:
    • March Lab Night and ID College
      • March 4th is our lab night.  It will be a precursor to Shakopee’s ID College.  It will be a refresher course about writing a resume.
      • March 7th-21st is the ID College will be about resumes and interviewing…  1st session is fine-tuning resume; 2nd session is interview dos-and-don’ts.; 3rd session is mock interviews.
        • It has been approved by JCI Minnesota.
  • Public Relations:
    • Member Business List idea
      • Former and current Shakopee Jaycees businesses.  People who are interested can see what other Shakopee Jaycee members do and frequent their business.
    • Why do you Jaycee post
      • It is on our page.  Fill out the Why do you Jaycee form and picture to be featured on our Membership Spotlight page.
  • State Delegate
    • Spring Convention Registrations Due
      • Registrations are due on March 20th for Early Bird, which the chapter is covering the cost with prerequisites.
        • Sign the chapter a good faith check.
        • Send the chapter your registration.
    • National Convention Financial Plans
      • How do we split 3 events (Mid-America, Century, and convention)?  We would take $1,000 and split it between the 3 events and the attendees would get a percentage of that.

9: Presidential Comments

We need to get word out for our monthly meetings.

You are all very valued and loved.  If you need somebody to talk to I’m here for you; the board feels the same way.

She has a new presidential seal… a flaming flamingo.

10: Adjournment {{Not at Quorum, so can’t vote on anything & this isn’t an official meeting}}

11: Creed

We believe:

That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;

That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality; and

That service to humanity is the best work of life.
