  1. General Business and Reports
  • Management:
    • Fest update
      • We haven’t heard anything concrete from CDC or Mid-America on what’s going on this year.  We’ve heard rumors but not recognizing them because misinformation could happen easily.  Our plan is ready for opening on August 22nd, ready to go.
      • Aletenders meeting is scheduled for August 15 @ 1pm in front of Foaming; everything (pubs, Treehouse, etc.) gets cleaned that day as well.
      • Pubmsters need to be TIPS trained [good for 3 years] and everybody needs to be Alcohol Awareness trained [good for only 1 year – Thursday, August 6th from 6-9pm Zoom meeting].
      • Camping, parking, instructions… we don’t know anything yet.
    • A&I save the date
      • Friday, December 18th in the evening.
    • Taste
      • Originally on Father’s Day weekend.  Now on September 26th from 10am-4pm.  We’re doing the Business Expo part of Taste.  There will be some food booths, but no competition – aka. not much revenue.  We still need 6-10 people to pour beer & do setup (7-8am).
    • Chair search Trail
      • Still looking for a Chair.  We’re still planning on doing Frights for Fun, manning the trailers like we have done in previous years.
  • Membership:
    • Zoom game night July 21st
      • Next Tuesday, online @ 7pm.  Online version of Cards Against Humanity.
    • Alumni renewals
      • Over 50% done getting information from people.  They’ll be reaching out to everybody they can.
    • Q3 Renewals
      • Sending out information to all the members that need to pay this quarter.  If you aren’t paid up in your dues you CAN’T work Fest.
  • Community:
    • Park clean up report
      • Last Saturday we cleaned up Huber Park from 10am-noon.  15 volunteers.  PJ pulled out a bike & 2 big bags of trash.  We will do this again in the fall.
    • Upcoming opportunities/chairpersons
      • See “Chair search Trail.”
    • Kids Voting
      • We’re doing this again this year… K-12 doing a mock-vote.  The kids might have to do absentee ballots this year.
    • Possible giving opportunities
      • We’re looking at Transition Plus for school donations.  There are other options that we can do and we will reach out for more options as well.
  • Individual Development:
    • NSGRA Update
      • Last month we gave him a donation for his candidacy.  On June 19th he gained his sash.
      • He raised $856.10 out of $1,000 goal.
      • He’s working on bettering himself and recruiting from that organization.

11: Creed

We believe:

That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;

That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality; and

That service to humanity is the best work of life.
