  1. General Business and Reports
  • Management:
    • Littler Big Taste of Fun Update
      • We reached out to do the virtual Taste of Fun.  We had about 20 reviews that were submitted, but didn’t get much feedback from restaurants.  Sept. 26th is the rescheduled version for the physical Big Taste of Fun.  Trying to minimize cash sales & electrical wiring.  Registrations have been sent out to members.
    • BOD Retreat
      • Next weekend in Melrose, MN.  There will be fun time & work time.  We will have more information/details on Monday for the weekend.
    • Q2 Review Survey
      • Doing this at the BOD retreat next weekend.   This will be in the form of art & not an actual survey.
  • Membership:
    • Working on Q3  renewals
      • Starting to work out the Q3 renewals.  Everybody in Q2 got renewed that wanted to be renewed.
    • Membership social
    • Working on Alumni renewals
      • Dropped the ball, but working through them.  Out of the 80 alumni they got responses from 40 of them that are renewing.
  • Community:
    • Huber Park cleanup reminder
      • This Saturday at 10am.  We will have something to eat afterwards.
    • Kids Voting
      • Confirmation on our first virtual meeting on Tuesday.  Drew will bring in other members to help out as well.
    • Un-parade
      • Bemidji had one of these recently.  25 floats in a parking lot and people drove by.  They charged a fee to visit, so it’s a good fundraising event.
      • We don’t know what we’re going to do for the Renaissance Festival so we are looking at how we can go to help the community.
  • Individual Development:
    • NSGRA Fundraising and Pageant
      • Out of his $1,000 goal he is at $742.69.  The $250 guaranteed his spot in the pageant and he is the only MISS that has their money in so far.
  • Public Relations:
    • Top three requested swag items/Survey update.
      • Most people wanted hoodies (84%), a few wanted hand sanitizer (60%) and a 20oz stainless tumbler (64%).  For suggestions they wanted bottle openers and masks mainly.
  • State Delegate
    • Convention update.
      • Tomorrow is the last day to register for Early Bird pricing.
    • Bylaw vote update.
      • All of the things that we talked about last time passed.  1 part that didn’t pass without contention was virtual meetings, but ultimately it passed.

9: Presidential Comments

        [Nothing this month]

10: Adjournment @ 8:03pm – 1st by Duffy; 2nd by Kostelecky; Motion carries.

11: Creed

We believe:

That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;

That the brotherhood of men transcends the sovereignty of nations;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality; and

           That service to humanity is the best work of life.
